Parenting

In 1997, Montana deleted the term “custody” from our statutes. The term custody was thought to invoke and create power struggles between the parents and not take into account the best interests of their children. Now pursuant to law, Montana parents develop parenting plans to care for their children.

We are well versed in all parenting issues including scheduling, child support and medical insurance requirements. We also have worked extensively with mental health professionals including psychologists and psychiatrists regarding special issues that may arise in parenting situations.

If you would like to talk with one of our attorneys about a parenting issue, please give us a call at (406)327-0600.
